Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator to join a York-based manufacturing team. You will operate CNC press brakes and guillotines, ensuring output meets exacting customer specs, while working in a fast-paced, modern environment.

The role offers premium overtime rates, an early finish on Fridays, salary reviews after 12 weeks, and 28 days holiday including bank holidays. Competitive hourly rate up to £15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating machines.
• Able to read engineering drawings and perform heavy lifting.

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Machine Operators to join a market-leading manufacturer based in York.

This role offers premium overtime rates and the chance to work within a fast-paced, modern, and dynamic environment.

The company has recently benefited from significant investment and site‑wide modernisation, supporting continued expansion. As a result of sustained business growth, they are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of some Machine Operators.

Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator.

• Working as part of a manufacturing team, responsible for producing a variety of different products.
• Setting and operating a variety of machines (CNC Press Brake & Guillotines).
• Ensuring that all products and components adhere to customer specifications and requirements.
• Carrying out heavy manual lifting.

Working Hours of the Machine Operator.

• Monday- Thursday: 07:30-16:30.
• Friday 07:30-12:30.

Minimum Experience Required.

• Previous experience working within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience operating machines.
• Comfortable working with Steel and carrying out heavy lifting.
• Comfortable working from engineering drawings.

In Return, the Machine Operator Will Receive.

• Hourly Rate: Up to £15.50 Per Hour
• Early Finish on a Friday.
• Overtime paid at a premium.
• Salary increases after 12 weeks.
• Holiday Entitlement: 28 Days (Including Bank Holiday
