Job summary

BHC Limited in Carnwath is seeking a full-time Machine Operator to join our family-run steel fabrication facility. You will set up machines, monitor production, and carry out routine checks to keep workflows safe and efficient.

You will inspect finished components, record output, report issues to supervisors, and collaborate with the workshop team to maintain high quality across Agricultural, Commercial, Education, and Industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in a workshop or production setting.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in a workshop.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

We currently have full-time machine operator roles available at our facility in Carnwath.

The roles involves operating a range of machinery and hand tools to process and prepare structural steel components according to specifications and production schedules. Responsibilities include setting up machines, monitoring operations, performing routine checks, and carrying out basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient performance. The Machine Operator will inspect finished work for quality, follow production and safety procedures, and accurately record output and any issues encountered. The role also requires effective communication with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, report equipment concerns, and support smooth workflow across the workshop.
