Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Blackpool is seeking a technically minded Machine Operator / Multi-Skilled Technician to operate and optimise specialist machinery. Training is provided and you will transition to a permanent role after the initial period.

Starting at £13.00 per hour during training, rising to £13.00–£19.00 per hour after training, with shift allowances for afternoons and nights. Training lasts about 6 weeks on day shifts before moving to permanent shifts.

Qualifications

• Technically minded with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience operating, setting up, or troubleshooting machinery.
• Ability to think logically and solve problems under pressure.

Responsibilities

Machine Operator / Multi-Skilled Technician

Blackpool

Are you a technically minded problem-solver who enjoys working with complex machinery? We are looking for a switched-on, multi-skilled individual to join a busy manufacturing operation, operating and troubleshooting specialist stick pack machinery.

This role would suit someone who enjoys understanding how machines work, making adjustments, identifying faults, and finding solutions. Food manufacturing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

The Role

• Operating, setting up and optimising specialist stick pack machinery.
• Working with equipment that has

40-60 different settings and parameters.

• Troubleshooting faults and diagnosing production issues.
• Making machine adjustments to maximise efficiency and product quality.
• Supporting changeovers and continuous improvement activities.
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

• A technically minded individual with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience operating, setting, adjusting or troubleshooting machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically under pressure.
• A multi-skilled approach and willingness to learn.
• Experience from manufacturing, engineering, CNC, packaging or production environments would be highly advantageous.
• Someone who enjoys getting to the root cause of issues and finding solutions.

Shifts

Following training, positions are available on:

6am-2pm

2pm-10pm (shift allowance payable)

10pm-6am (shift allowance payable)

All successful candidates will complete approximately

6 weeks of training on day shifts before moving onto their permanent shift pattern.
