Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd in Norwich is seeking a Machine Operator to join a well-established food manufacturer. The role is a full-time position on a temporary-to-permanent basis, paying £13.70 per hour with a four-day working week and no weekend work.

After successful training, you may move to a 4 days on, 4 days off pattern. You will operate production machinery, perform checks, and contribute to quality and safety standards in a busy plant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or Machine Setter is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A reliable and positive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine machine checks to ensure production standards are maintained.
• Load raw materials and packaging into machinery.
• Identify and report machine faults or breakdowns.
• Make basic machine adjustments and assist with changeovers.
• Complete quality checks to ensure products meet food safety and company standards.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
• Follow all Health & Safety, HACCP and food hygiene procedures.
• Complete production records accurately.
• Work collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.

Select Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Machine Operator to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Little Melton.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time role offering a great work-life balance, with a four-day working week and no weekend work. Following successful training, you'll also have the opportunity to move onto a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern.
