Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Machine Operator in Sheffield (S9) to join a family‑run steel company. You will operate and monitor machinery in a busy production environment, with a focus on safety around revolving belt systems and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:00–15:45 and Friday 07:00–12:00. Pay is £13.20 per hour, with a stable, full‑time role and early finish every Friday, within a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience is desirable.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery within a busy steel production environment. The role involves working with revolving belt systems, so you must be comfortable working around moving equipment and adhering to all safety procedures.

Requirements

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 07:00am - 3:45pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Friday: 07:00am - 12:00pm

Total: 38 hours per week
