Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Machine Operator in Grimethorpe, Barnsley. The role involves operating panel bank CNC/drilling machines, loading programmes, and ensuring quality while working both independently and as part of a team.

The position is on a rotating shift pattern (days, nights, afternoons), with 39 hours per week. Previous manufacturing experience and the ability to work with wood are advantageous. This is a temporary to permanent role depending on performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate panel bank CNC/Drilling Machines and load programme for correct panel type.
• Load and move panels into machines and monitor operation.
• Perform quality checks on materials and finished products.
• Follow instructions and ensure each piece matches design.
• Maintain general housekeeping and work as part of a team.
• Meet daily production targets.

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operator working a 3 rotating shift pattern for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Machine Operator Benefits

• Shifts: Rotating DAYS 6am to 2pm/NIGHTS 10pm to 6am and AFTERS 2pm to 10pm – please do not apply if you can’t work rotating shifts
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: Monday 14th September 2026 – please do not apply if you have holidays booked in the next 12 weeks as this is the cruicial traning period
• Pay Rates: £15.96 for Days & Afters & £16.94 for Nights
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent subject to performance, attendance & client requirement
• Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72

Machine Operator Duties

• Working on and operating panel bank CNC/Drilling Machines
• Load programme for correct panel type
• Operating and loading panels into machines
• Quality checking of materials and finished products
• Working with wood and heavy items
• Following instructions and ensuring each priece matches the design
• General Housekeeping
• Working on your own and as part of a team
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Machine Operator Criteria
