Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial in Kingswinford, West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to work in a busy manufacturing and engineering environment. You will set and operate Press Brake machinery from engineering drawings, folding and forming sheet metal components, and ensuring quality throughout production.

This temporary-to-permanent role offers a 6:00am–2:00pm shift, weekly pay, and opportunities for progression for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Essential: previous press brake operating experience.
• Desirable: press brake setting experience.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience working with sheet metal.
• Confident using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Press Brake machinery from drawings and specs.
• Fold and form sheet metal components.
• Select and change tooling as required.
• Measure components to tolerance.
• Carry out quality checks during production.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Press Brake Operator

Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands

Salary: £12.80 - £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy manufacturing and engineering company based in Kingswinford.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Press Brake experience who is looking for a long-term position, working consistent Monday to Friday day shifts with the potential to become permanent.

The role:

• Setting and operating Press Brake machinery
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Folding and forming sheet metal components
• Selecting and changing tooling where required
• Measuring components using verniers and other measuring equipment
• Carrying out quality checks throughout production
• Ensuring components meet required tolerances and specifications
• Working to production targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The ideal candidate:

• Previous Press Brake operating experience is essential
• Press Brake setting experience is desirable
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Previous experience working with sheet metal
• Confident using measuring equipment
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Reliable and committed to full-time work
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment

Benefits:
