Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Machine Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Andover. You\'ll work on fault finding, breakdown response and planned maintenance across varied machinery, supporting the production team to keep operations safe and efficient.

Based in Andover, the role offers a competitive salary, early finish on Fridays, pension and 28 days holiday, with free parking. You\'ll mentor a junior colleague and coordinate external contractors for specialist repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer / Machine Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on repair capability (mechanical essential; electrical advantageous).
• Confident prioritising breakdowns and communicating with production.
• Comfortable coordinating external contractors and managing work on site.
• A team player who can support a junior colleague.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix faults on engineering/manufacturing machinery and site equipment.
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections and servicing.
• Work across multiple machine types on site (varied kit).
• Support/mentor a maintenance colleague day-to-day.
• Liaise with and arrange contractors for specialist repairs and servicing (bookings, access, coordinating work on site, ensuring safe working/RAMS).
• Keep maintenance records up to date and help identify recurring issues/improvements.
