Prime Appointments Ltd in Colchester is seeking a practical Machine Assembly Engineer to build and modify internal machinery from drawings and models. You will assemble mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, test built equipment and contribute to QA and continuous improvement.

The role suits hands-on engineers who read engineering drawings, work in a small team, and enjoy bringing projects from concept to working systems. 25 days holiday and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine building or machine assembly.
• Experience assembling mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of tooling, production methods and engineering practices.

Responsabilités

• Build machinery from drawings, schematics and models.
• Assemble mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Test completed machinery to verify operation and specs.
• Identify improvements to machinery, tooling and processes.
• Support development of new jigs, fixtures and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate automated systems.
• Troubleshoot issues during build and testing.
• Update engineering documentation as changes are made.
