M365 Senior Technical Architect

The Role:

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG's M365 solutions for clients. The architect will present solutions in workshops and demonstrations, manage end-to-end delivery with other architects and consultants, and mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and demonstrations to showcase capabilities.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing project governance and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Aligning cloud strategies with Microsoft technology in client demonstrations.
• Conducting webinars and workshops to showcase propositions.
• Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of solutions.
• Participating in proposals and RFI processes with sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge Required:

• Proven experience with Entra and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Experience with M365 migrations, deployments, and tenant merges.
• Experience with M365 security, including Defender for Identity.
• Knowledge of core M365 applications: Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Understanding of M365 governance and data protection services, including Information Protection and DLP.
• Background in infrastructure, virtualization, or applications is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Intune and Endpoint security/management.
• Experience with M365 adoption and change management.
• Knowledge of PowerApps and unified communications.

Candidate Profile:

10+ years' experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery, including application/data migration or business process modernization. Proven leadership in delivery engagements and technical team management. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and flexibility are essential. Candidates should hold or be willing to obtain HM Government clearances.
