Job summary

Skilled Careers are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager / Building Services Manager (Mechanical Bias) for a prestigious project in Kent. This is a hands-on, site-based role overseeing M&E installations with a value of around £8m, ensuring the programme, quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical building services background and extensive M&E delivery experience with main contractor or established M&E subcontractor backgrounds, and

Qualifications

• We are looking for somebody who has developed their career through a mechanical building services background and has extensive experience delivering M&E installations.

Responsibilities

• Managing the M&E subcontractor from installation through to commissioning and handover.
• Overseeing mechanical and electrical works, ensuring programme, quality and safety standards are achieved.
• Reviewing and challenging technical drawings and resolving design coordination issues.
• Managing installation sequencing and coordinating M&E activities with the wider construction programme.
• Identifying potential technical issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, Design Manager and wider construction team.
• Taking full ownership of M&E delivery and subcontractor performance.
