Borne Resourcing Limited is actively recruiting for Mechanical & Electrical Site Mgrs / Supervisors on a freelance basis for a luxury hotel and residential refurbishment in Central London. You will be hands-on on the construction site, coordinating M&E works, interfacing with trades and ensuring the programme stays on track.

The role requires a proactive, practical approach with the ability to drive subcontractors, resolve issues quickly and maintain safety and quality on a high-end project.

Qualifications

• Hands-on supervision of M&E subcontractors on high-end hotel/refurbishment projects.
• Experience with principal/main contractors and coordination with trades.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and programme-driven delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical and electrical subcontractors on a daily basis.
• Drive productivity, progress and short-term programmes on site.
• Coordinate M&E installations with fit-out and finishing trades on site.
• Monitor workmanship, quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and resolve site issues before they affect the programme.
• Manage subcontractor interfaces and keep work areas ready for trades.
• Attend site coordination meetings and report progress to management.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and site organisation.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical and Electrical Site Supervisors for an established principal contractor delivering a prestigious £40m luxury hotel and residential refurbishment in Central London.

The scheme comprises a 102-bedroom luxury hotel, 7 residential units, public entertainment areas and health facilities.We're looking for hands-on, proactive M&E Supervisors who know how to drive subcontractors, maintain momentum on site and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

This isn't a role for someone who prefers managing from behind a desk. You'll need to be visible on site, coordinating trades, resolving issues and keeping the programme moving.

The Role:

Working alongside the site management team, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising mechanical and electrical subcontractors daily

• Coordinating M&E installations with internal fit-out and finishing trades
• Monitoring workmanship, quality and compliance with specifications

About You

• SMSTS | 1st Aid | Black CSCS | City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical
• Previous experience working for a principal contractor / main contractor
• A strong background in hotels, super-prime residential, high-end refurbishment or student accommodation
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical or electrical installations and their coordination with other trades
• Proven experience supervising and driving M&E subcontractors
• A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge mediocre performance
• Effective communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work effectively within a busy, programme-driven construction environment
