Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisor for a major Northern Ireland Water framework contract. The role involves directing site operations, coordinating skilled personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered on time and to high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include delivering projects to schedule, carrying out on-site inspections for HSEQ compliance, and maintaining RAMS and daily safety briefings.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of programme delivery and NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and IT skills.
• Commercial awareness with focus on quality and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects on programme, safely and to high quality standards.
• Ensure a competent workforce, including subcontractors, is in place for all site activities.
• Carry out site inspections for Health & Safety compliance with legislation.
• Record RAMS, permits to work and safety briefings; maintain site documentation.
• Conduct RAMS briefings, inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Oversee subcontractor safety on site, including daily inspections and checks.
• Quality checks against contract specs and recording site resources and materials.
• Maintain site diaries and records of subcontractor activities and performance reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors on site activities.
