Job summary

MEPJOBS UK is seeking an experienced M&E Shift Engineer to join our Slough operations. The role involves continental shifts (4 on 4 off) in a commercial environment, with a salary up to £58,000 plus incentives and benefits.

You will be responsible for responding to appliance failures, carrying out PPMs to schedules, and maintaining electrical plant records. Training and progression are offered with in-house development.

Qualifications

• BTEC / HND / HNC / ONC / Degree required.
• Mechanical apprenticeship with 3–4 years experience.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Mechanical Engineering Level 1-3.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Electrical Level 1-3.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Heating & Ventilation Level 1-3.
• NARIC Qualification

Responsibilities

• Continental shifts, rotation of day & night shifts with a fixed pattern of 4 on and 4 off, times may vary.
• Successful applicants will be prompt in their responsiveness and attentiveness to appliance failures and breakdowns
• Carrying out PPM accurate to schedules and procedures maintaining engineering standards to maximize operation effectiveness and reliability of electrical systems
• Clear understanding off plants used, boilers, refrigeration units, AHU, FCU, HVAC
• Ensuring onsite quality assurance procedures are following accordingly to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with electrical aspects of PPM and plants.
• Covering call outs for breakdowns and emergencies related to electrical services as required
• Overtime is highly rewarded and incentivized
• Continuous training & development
• In house progression schemes.
