Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a diverse team where no two days are the same and you will deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance. The role includes 24-hour cover for the Heathrow estate, carrying out maintenance across building services, power distribution, lighting, standby generators and control systems.

Applicants should hold City & Guilds craft certificate / ONC or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering, and be able to pass

• Ability to obtain and pass full intrusive security checks (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building services.
• Provide 24-hour cover for the Heathrow estate as part of a balanced shift team.
• Identify plant defects, warning indicators and system faults, taking corrective actions.
• Maintain and support building services systems including power distribution, motor controls, lighting, standby generators, controls systems, and fire alarm/PA systems.

We are looking for a Mechanical Shift Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Mechanical Shift Engineer, will be responsible for:

• Undertake planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of building services.
• Work as part of a balanced shift team (electrical and mechanical) providing 24-hour cover for the Heathrow estate.
• Identify plant defects, warning indicators and system faults, taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and support building services systems including power distribution, motor controls, lighting, standby generators, controls systems, inverters and fire alarm/PA systems.

To be successful for this Mechanical Shift Engineer role you must have:

• City & Guilds craft certificate / ONC or equivalent.
• Recognised craft apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Ability to obtain and pass full intrusive security checks (mandatory).
• C&G Level 3 in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
