Job summary

Brandon James is recruiting an M&E Quantity Surveyor in London to join a leading cost-management team. You will manage M&E cost plans, estimates, budgets and tender documentation from early design through construction and final account, working with clients and contractors.

You'll gain broad exposure across mechanical, electrical and public health packages, with progression toward Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor and chartership support.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• MRICS qualified or progressing toward chartership.
• UK PQS/construction consultancy experience desirable.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical packages.

Responsibilities

• Preparing M&E cost plans, estimates and detailed budgets.
• Producing tender documentation for mechanical and electrical packages.
• Reviewing tender returns from contractors/subcontractors.
• Advising on procurement strategy and package selection.
• Managing interim valuations, variations and change control.
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates.
• Supporting negotiations through to final account.
• Monitoring design development and cost implications.
• Attending client, design team and contractor meetings.
