Job summary

Accelerated People Management is assisting a premier M&E contractor in London to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will own the commercial function, oversee budgets and cost reporting for M&E packages and drive subcontractor negotiations on major projects in the heart of the capital.

With a clear progression route to Head of Commercial, you will contribute to profitability, manage risk and liaise with design and project teams to deliver within budget.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in the Mechanical and Electrical sector (Essential).
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc Hons) is required.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills; MRICS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, forecasts and cost reporting for mechanical and electrical packages.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, tender comparisons and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare and negotiate payment applications, variations and final accounts.
• Mitigate contractual risks and work with project teams to control costs.

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading M&E contractor at the forefront of its sector. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with extensive knowledge in the M&E sector, a Senior who wants to take ownership of the commercial team. Our client is a well established M&E contractor who work in a variety of sectors, from MODs, commercial, residential and most recently data centres. They support building projects through all RIBA stages and have a strong design team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor your responsibilities will include:

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have:

• Extensive knowledge in the Mechanical and electrical sector (Essential).
• BSC (Hons) Quantity Surveying.
• Negotiation and analytical skills and experience.
• RICS/MRICS accreditation (Desirable).
