Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is recruiting an experienced M&E Project Manager to join an established engineering contractor delivering specialist M&E projects across London and the South East. Location: Aylesford, Kent with travel to London as required.

The role involves managing M&E installations from planning to completion, ensuring safety, programme delivery and budget adherence. You will work with the office-based team in Aylesford and liaise with clients, subcontractors and site teams; travel

Qualifications

• Electrical bias with M&E project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an M&E Project Manager.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure and generator installations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and variations.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of M&E projects from inception through to completion.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, engineers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are carried out safely and in accordance with project specifications.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate electrical and mechanical installation works, including testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure projects comply with health and safety legislation, industry regulations and company procedures.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement solutions to minimise delays.
• Manage project costs, variations, procurement and commercial performance.
• Maintain effective communication between clients, contractors, consultants and internal project teams.
• Attend site meetings, progress reviews and client meetings as required.
• Ensure all project documentation, reports and records are maintained accurately.
• Oversee quality control and ensure installations meet technical standards.
• Manage projects through to commissioning, handover and completion.
• Provide leadership and support to site teams to maintain performance.
