Job summary

Egis UK is seeking a Mechanical and/or Electrical Project Manager to join the Special Projects team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The role focuses on turnkey consultancy with project management, cost control, building surveying and safety services for complex mechanical/electrical projects within a growing team.

You will lead planning, engagement, procurement and risk management across multiple commissions, ensuring on-time delivery, value engineering and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant construction discipline.
• Demonstrable experience on projects with high technical complexity (mechanical/electrical/process) as an M&E QS or Project Manager.
• MRICS or equivalent (desirable).
• Hands-on, results-orientated and client centric.

Responsibilities

• Planning: develop project management plans, establish strategy and communication lines for stakeholders.
• Engaging: lead project meetings, define requirements, manage communication.
• Procuring: prepare RFPs, tender documents, review bids for best value.
• Managing Risk, Delivering Value: value engineering, risk workshops, track mitigation.
• Project / Contract Administration: assess contractor progress, quality on-site, manage design team.
• General Duties: mentor junior staff, support business development, maintain client relationships.
