Job summary

Egis UK is seeking a Mechanical and/or Electrical Project Manager to join our Special Projects team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will manage complex M&E projects, coordinating with clients, design teams and contractors to deliver on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

The role requires strong project management skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple commissions within a consultancy setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant construction discipline.
• Demonstrable experience on projects with high technical complexity (mechanical / electrical / process) as an M&E QS or Project Manager.
• MRICS membership or working towards MRICS (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop project management plans, programmes and communications.
• Lead project meetings and define project requirements with stakeholders.
• Prepare tender documentation and assess contractor bids for cost and technical compliance.
• Support risk reviews, value engineering and management of contractor claims.
• Administer contracts, monitor progress, quality on site and manage design teams.
