Job summary

Kingdom People is recruiting an experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager for a leading Tier 1 contractor in Manchester. You will lead the delivery and coordination of mechanical and electrical services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover on high-profile schemes.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across M&E systems, excellent coordination and stakeholder management, and a proactive, collaborative approach to solving complex engineering challenges on

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an M&E Manager or Building Services Manager in main contracting.
• Strong knowledge across mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
• Experience delivering large commercial, residential, mixed-use or healthcare projects.
• Excellent coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, coordination and delivery of M&E services.

A leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager to join its growing team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, technically complex construction projects across the North West, taking responsibility for the delivery and coordination of mechanical and electrical building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Manager and wider project team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of all M&E and building services elements across major construction schemes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical services.
• Reviewing technical designs, specifications and installation proposals.
• Coordinating M&E subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Driving procurement, programme and commissioning activities.
• Working closely with design, commercial and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying and resolving technical and coordination challenges.
• Managing quality assurance, testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and project requirements.
• Supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-value construction projects.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an M&E Manager, Building Services Manager or similar within a main contracting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
• Experience delivering complex commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, education or other major construction projects.
• Excellent coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
