Job summary

365 Recruit is recruiting an experienced M&E Manager (Mechanical Bias) for a major new-build project in Brentford. The role focuses on leading building services delivery, coordinating with design, construction and commercial teams to keep packages on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will oversee M&E coordination, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with regulations and project standards throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager or MEP Manager within the construction industry.
• Experience delivering M&E packages on major new-build projects.
• Experience managing specialist M&E subcontractors from design through installation, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of mechanical and electrical services throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate M&E design, installation, commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage and monitor specialist M&E subcontractors.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Managers and commercial teams.
• Review M&E designs, drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Identify and resolve design coordination and buildability issues.
• Ensure M&E installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and key project milestones.
• Coordinate building services with structural, architectural and other construction packages.
• Chair and attend M&E coordination and progress meetings.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, quality and programme.
• Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes.
• Ensure testing, commissioning and witnessing requirements are properly planned and completed.
• Coordinate commissioning programmes and ensure systems are ready for handover.
• Oversee the production of O&M manuals, commissioning records and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Building Regulations, specifications and industry standards.
• Support the commercial team with M&E variations, changes and package management.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager or MEP Manager within the construction industry
• Proven experience delivering M&E packages on major new-build projects
• Experience managing specialist M&E subcontractors from design through installation, commissioning and handover
• Good understanding of construction programmes and M&E sequencing
• Strong technical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple packages and priorities within a fast-paced construction environment
• Relevant building services, mechanical, electrical or construction qualification preferred
