Job summary

L&B Technical Services Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our team at the Basildon head office. You will develop accurate, competitive tenders for mechanical and electrical projects, working with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure robust estimates.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, producing take-offs, analysing supplier/ subcontractor quotations and supporting value engineering. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• M&E building services estimating experience required.
• Strong commercial awareness is essential.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and specifications required.
• Excellent Excel and numerical skills required.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce detailed M&E estimates and take-offs.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Build labour, material and plant costs.
• Identify scope gaps, tender risks and opportunities.
• Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions and qualifications.
• Support value engineering and alternative solutions.
• Attend tender meetings and site visits.
• Support project handover following successful awards.
