Job summary

Caddy Group Limited is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our team in Andover, Hampshire. The role focuses on pre-construction and tendering for mechanical and electrical building services across a range of sectors.

Ideal candidates will have proven M&E estimating experience, strong technical and commercial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines. Ongoing training and a supportive management team are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an M&E Estimator or similar pre-construction role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations.
• Experience preparing estimates and tender submissions for construction or M&E projects.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Experience taking-off quantities and cost estimating.
• Knowledge of pricing labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for M&E projects.
• Review tender docs, drawings, specs and BOQ.
• Take-off materials and prepare cost breakdowns.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Produce tender submissions within deadlines.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with PMs, QSs and operations to price accurately.
• Support handover of tenders to project delivery teams.
