Global Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator for a Hamilton-based building services contractor. You will own the estimating and tendering process for mechanical and electrical projects, driving opportunities and helping shape the front end of the business.

The role offers up to £60,000 depending on experience, with opportunities to influence strategy, strengthen tender processes and build client and supplier relationships across sectors.

Formación

• Strong background in M&E estimating within building services.
• Experience preparing and pricing mechanical and electrical tenders.
• Understanding of M&E installations, drawings, specifications and costs.
• Ability to identify profitable opportunities with commercial awareness.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial approach to develop expanding M&E operation.
• Comfort contributing ideas to drive business growth.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for mechanical and electrical installation projects.
• Review tender docs, drawings and specs to establish project requirements.
• Carry out material take-offs, labour calculations, and cost analysis.
• Obtain, review and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify commercial risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare and submit tender returns within deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Work with management to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Help develop estimating systems, processes, and procedures.
• Contribute to the overall commercial strategy and growth plan.
