Job summary

TSR Group is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our Redditch-based team and lead the tendering process across electrical and mechanical services.

You will price a diverse range of projects, develop cost breakdowns, and work with operations and commercial teams to secure winning bids. Familiarity with Simpro is advantageous, and you’ll help standardise pricing and improve estimating efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical or M&E Estimator.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience pricing commercial tenders, small works and project variations.
• Excellent commercial awareness.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using estimating software (Simpro advantageous).
• Proactive attitude to improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Preparing competitive tenders for commercial M&E projects – (75% Electrical – 25% Mechanical).
• Producing quotations for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts and reactive/small works.
• Pricing project variations.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions.
• Supporting project handovers to the delivery team following successful bids.

Job description

TSR Group is a growing electrical and technology contractor delivering projects across the commercial, industrial and specialist building sectors. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced M&E Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing new business while helping us develop and improve our estimating processes.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders across a diverse range of projects, working closely with our operations and commercial teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing competitive tenders for commercial M&E projects – (75% Electrical – 25% Mechanical).
• Producing quotations for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts and reactive/small works.
• Pricing project variations.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions.
• Supporting project handovers to the delivery team following successful bids.

A key part of this role will be taking ownership of our estimating platform by:

• Developing and maintaining Simpro pre-builds.
• Creating quotation templates.
• Improving estimating efficiency and consistency.
• Helping to standardise pricing across the business.
• Identifying ways to streamline our tendering process.

What We’re Looking For

Ideally you’ll have:

• Previous experience as an Electrical or M&E Estimator.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience pricing commercial tenders, small works and project variations.

• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using estimating software (Simpro experience would be highly advantageous).
