Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. The role focuses on carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across M&E systems and ensuring critical services are restored quickly and safely.

You will monitor BMS to optimise site performance and supervise contractors while upholding health and safety standards. A valid UK driving licence is essential for site visits and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience in a commercial M&E environment.
• Valid, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across M&E systems.
• Diagnose faults and restore critical services quickly and safely.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to maintain site performance.
• Supervise contractors and ensure works comply with health & safety standards.
• Support operation of UPS, LV generators, HVAC, and control circuits.
