Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Building Services Manager to join our Central region. The role focuses on managing M&E subcontractors, coordinating drawings, and ensuring commissioning readiness while maintaining BAM Best Practice and safety standards.

The incumbent will report to the Project Manager, liaise with engineers and consultants, and drive progress through effective meetings and document control.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in the building services environment and coordinating with M&E subcontractors.
• Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills to work with external consultants.
• Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary project team and lead effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for internal reporting and client liaising.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager on building services performance and subcontractor progress.
• Liaise with mechanical, electrical or public health engineers, designers or consultants as needed.
• Ensure health and safety compliance per BAM policy and site requirements.
• Maintain an accurate day-to-day site diary with instructions, coordination issues and progress.
• Manage M&E subcontractors per BAM Best Practice and ensure quality against drawings and specs.
• Coordinate information flow and drawing production with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct subcontractor progress meetings and identify actions to keep programme on track.
• Ensure commissioning readiness with accurate timing for power, gas and water availability.
