Job summary

Stafffinders is seeking an Associate Director to lead high-profile M&A tax engagements in London, advising private equity and corporate clients on complex transactions. You will oversee tax due diligence, structuring and advisory work for buy-side and sell-side deals, while building trusted client relationships.

The role requires a Chartered Accountant or Tax Adviser with UK tax expertise and prior exposure to M&A. Strong project management and client leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or Tax Adviser with ACA/CA/CTA/ADIT or equivalent.
• Strong grounding in UK tax practices.
• Experience in UK corporation tax compliance and/or M&A.
• Proven client management and project management skills.
• Exposure to Transfer Pricing, R&D, VAT, Employment Taxes, Stamp Duty, share transactions or share option schemes advantageous.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint for client and target documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discussions and present key findings.
• Manage tax due diligence projects and review analyses and reports.
• Advise on transaction structuring and key tax implications.
• Review financial models, transaction documentation and supporting information.
• Collaborate with wider advisory teams and external stakeholders.
• Support business development and new client opportunities.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets and deadlines.
• Provide technical tax guidance and support.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
