Job summary

WR Engineering in Dartford is seeking an LV Switchgear Test Engineer to join an established team. You will manufacture, assemble and test bespoke LV switchgear and control panels from engineering drawings, and travel to customer sites as part of the installation team.

The role offers training and development in machining and testing processes. Requirements include Level 2/3 Electrical Installation, ability to read circuit diagrams, a valid UK driving licence, and CSCS or ECS card would be

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification is required.
• Must be able to read circuit diagrams.
• A CSCS or ECS card would be beneficial.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence, as the role involves potential travel to customer sites.
• Previous experience of testing panels would be an advantage but not essential.
• Experience with LV switchgear is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke LV switchgear and control panels from engineering drawings.
• Assemble panel frameworks.
• Install electrical components.
• Assist with panel wiring and mechanical assembly.
• Attend customer sites as part of the installation team.
• Carry out continuity testing on installed switchgear to verify connections and identify any faults.

LV Switchgear Test Engineer - Dartford

My client specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of efficient power distribution systems and is seeking an LV Switchgear Test Engineer to join their established team of 25 engineers.

This role is a progressive opportunity for the right person, offering training and development in machining, and other areas of the installation and testing process.

If you have experience reading circuit diagrams, have a valid driving license and hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in electrical installation or similar please get in touch!

The Package:

Salary: 29,000- 34,000 (DOE)

Working Hours: Mon to Fri - 08:00 to 16:30
