Job summary

Travail Employment Group in Grantham is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join a respected manufacturer that delivers bespoke Low Voltage Control Panels across diverse sectors. You will test, fault-find, and perform FATs with clients and design engineers to ensure performance and quality.

The ideal candidate will hold ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ electrical qualifications, be proficient in reading schematics, and have a solid knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations and safety practices.

Qualifications

• A relevant electrical qualification (ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ)
• Experience in LV Control Panel or Motor Control Centre testing
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations and standards
• Strong communication with colleagues and customers
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Test and fault-find LV control panel assemblies.
• Record and help resolve build and functionality issues.
• Conduct FATs with clients and design engineers.
• Verify performance from schematics.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to maintain quality.
• Ensure testing meets regulations and safety requirements.
