Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a Birmingham-based role. You will design and support industrial control panels, prepare wiring drawings and BOMs, and ensure compliance with BS EN 13849 and IEC 60204. The position involves collaborating with suppliers and developing test rigs and prototypes.

The ideal candidate has a strong design background, a relevant HND or degree, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD Mechanical/Electrical and EPLAN.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical wiring drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of regulatory, design and testing requirements.
• Ability to produce drawings, calculations and technical specs.
• Experience partnering with suppliers to meet performance standards.
• Promotes best practices in industrial control panel design.
• Familiar with design/testing standards across projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure standard and custom electrical wiring drawings and BOMs.
• Ensure all designs comply with regulatory, design, and testing requirements.
• Produce design documentation including drawings, calculations, and specs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure delivered solutions meet performance standards.
• Develop and support test rigs, models, and prototype control systems.
