Job summary

CP Management Solutions LTD seeks an experienced LV/AP Tester to join our electrical engineering team on a major infrastructure project in Central & West London. The role is site-based, performing LV inspections, testing, energisation and commissioning under instruction, with duties aligned to PME procedures.

Opportunity to develop into an Authorised Person through company training, with comprehensive internal training and career progression within a large London project environment.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing.
• Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV installations.
• Undertake energisation and de- energisation activities under authorised instruction.
• Complete testing documentation and certification accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
• Follow safe systems of work and maintain health & safety standards.
• Assist with fault finding and verification of electrical installations.
• Work with engineers, supervisors and commissioning teams to deliver the project.
• Participate in internal AP training and competency assessments.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced

LV/AP Tester to join a leading electrical engineering team working on a major infrastructure project across

Central & West London.

The role is site-based and will involve carrying out electrical inspection, testing, energisation and commissioning activities on LV systems, with all energisation works undertaken under instruction and in accordance with company procedures.

The project offers excellent accessibility from across

Central & West London, including areas such as

Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing, Acton, Chiswick, Paddington, Wembley, Hounslow and surrounding areas.

Comprehensive internal training will be provided to enable successful candidates to become an

Authorised Person (AP) for PME procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV installations.

Undertake energisation and de-energisation activities under authorised instruction.

Complete testing documentation and certification accurately.

Ensure all work complies with

BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.

Follow safe systems of work and maintain the highest health & safety standards.

Assist with fault finding and verification of electrical installations.

Work closely with engineers, supervisors and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Participate in internal AP (Authorised Person) training and competency assessments.

Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance on site.

Requirements

City & Guilds

Current

Minimum

3 years' experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing.

Valid

Good understanding of electrical installations and testing procedures.

Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Previous experience working on large infrastructure, rail or major construction projects.

Existing

LV Authorised Person (AP) experience — not essential.

Experience with

PME procedures.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Previous experience working on major projects in London.
