Job summary

Core Group is seeking an experienced LV/AP Tester to join a major infrastructure project in Central & West London. The role is site-based, involving electrical inspection, testing, energisation and commissioning on LV systems under supervision.

Comprehensive training will enable you to become an Authorised Person (AP) for PME procedures, with excellent public transport access and competitive benefits. Prior AP or LV testing on large infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing.
• Current BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing.
• Valid ECS/JIB Electrician Card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV installations.
• Undertake energisation and de-energisation activities under authorised instruction.
• Complete testing documentation and certification accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
• Follow safe systems of work and maintain high health & safety standards.
• Assist with fault finding and verification of electrical installations.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in internal AP training and competency assessments.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance on site.
