Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tailor, ideally within a luxury retail environment.
• Expertise in menswear tailoring, alterations, and fitting.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and advanced tailoring techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for refined client experiences.
• Flexibility to work across two boutiques and availability on most weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess and execute professional tailoring processes with a focus on womenswear.
• Measure clients for size using a tape measure and record measurements precisely.
• Fit and evaluate garments on clients to determine required alterations.
• Alter and repair garments according to clients’ needs, preserving original style and construction.
• Perform alterations using traditional hand-stitching and sewing machine techniques.
• Liaise with clients to create and adjust patterns to fit individual measurements and styles.
• Communicate fitting details and alteration requirements clearly with sales staff.
