Job summary

Swinton Park Hotel in Ripon, England, seeks a Weddings and Events Executive to lead group event sales, planning, and delivery across the estate. You will act as the primary client contact, support the Head of Sales, and ensure seamless execution from enquiry through post-event follow-up.

The role requires experience in weddings/events, exceptional organisation, and strong communication. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and a professional, guest-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coordinating group events, especially weddings.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; warm, professional manner.
• Confident in building client relationships and working independently when needed.
• Familiarity with event or property management systems (e.g. Rezlynx) preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for incoming group event enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts and invoices using the Estate’s systems.
• Lead showrounds and client site visits to showcase venues and options.
• Support Head of Sales to improve conversion and upsell catering options and services.
• Enter bookings accurately, manage contracts, payments, and communications.
• Create detailed function sheets and brief internal teams for events.
