Job summary

Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in the Lake District seeks a Sales & Events Manager to drive revenue across rooms, dining, spa, weddings and exclusive estate events, delivering the calm luxury experience we are known for. You will lead the commercial sales strategy, manage key accounts, and collaborate with Reservations, Marketing and operations to maximise occupancy, rate growth and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in luxury hospitality sales or high-end travel.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to interpret data and drive revenue decisions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing corporate accounts, travel partners, or luxury agency relationships.
• High level of organisation, accuracy, and administrative capability.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and channel management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the commercial sales strategy for Gilpin Hotel & Lake House across rooms, dining, spa, weddings, and events.
• Build lasting client partnerships with luxury travel advisors, corporate clients, and tourism partners.
• Create compelling proposals and follow-up to convert opportunities into bookings.
• Collaborate with Reservations, Marketing, and operations to maximise occupancy and rate growth.
• Represent Gilpin at selected networking events and trade shows to attract new guests.
• Ensure all client interactions reflect our calm luxury standards and personalize guest engagement.
