Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in the Lake District is seeking a Deputy Housekeeping Manager to uphold 5-star standards across the estate. You will lead a team, coordinate room resets, deep cleans, amenities replenishment, and ensure calm, orderly, and luxurious presentation throughout the property.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Estates, Spa and F&B to resolve issues quickly, coach staff, and maintain exceptional guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Strong housekeeping experience in a luxury environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail and pride in presentation.
• Confident working solo and in a close-knit team.
• High physical fitness and willingness to undertake daily hands-on cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Leads with calm confidence, supporting the team and ensuring interactions with guests and colleagues are warm and exceptional.
• Carries out room resets, deep cleans, replenishes amenities and maintains immaculate public spaces.
• Oversees daily rhythm across departures, arrivals, turnovers, turndown service, and deep-clean schedules.
• Inspects and refines linens, lighting, scent, layout, amenities to meet luxury standards.
• Collaborates with Front Office, Estates, Spa, and F&B to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
