Stafffinders' Client in the Scottish Borders seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to deliver a luxury guest experience and oversee daily operations. This role focuses on leading the Food & Beverage team, driving service standards, and ensuring consistent hospitality excellence.

You will support the Restaurant Manager, manage staff training, take a proactive approach, and ensure smooth service with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Restaurant Supervisor or hospitality leadership role.
• Confident handling of guest complaints and resolving issues professionally.
• Proven experience leading, motivating, and supporting a team.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creative mindset with a passion for guest experience enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day running of the restaurant.
• Oversee staff training, induction and performance development.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Food & Beverage team.
• Manage cash handling and daily reconciliations.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure service recovery.
• Handle accidents and ensure up-to-date first aid procedures.
