Job summary

Champneys Mottram Hall is seeking a diligent Kitchen Porter to support both the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams. You will help maintain a clean, safe kitchen, ensure equipment and crockery are ready for service and assist with stock and deliveries in a luxury wellbeing environment.

You will work as part of a close-knit team, uphold high hygiene standards and follow safety procedures to contribute to outstanding dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining hygiene and safety in kitchen environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and support service teams.
• Reliable, hardworking and detail oriented in a well‑established luxury hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness across all kitchen areas, staff canteens and corridors.
• Wash kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery to support service.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and safe during service with clear walkways and dry floors.
• Follow and sign off cleaning schedules to demonstrate due diligence and compliance.
• Carry out deep cleaning of kitchen equipment as required.
• Keep storerooms clean and well organized with swept and mopped floors.
• Store food deliveries correctly with proper stock rotation.
• Assist with stocktakes as required.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and wider teams.
