Job summary

Louma Country Hotel in Bridport, United Kingdom, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to manage daily operations of the Housekeeping team across guest rooms, public areas, and outlying barns. You will train staff, allocate work, and ensure brand standards are met, acting as the Executive Housekeeper’s right hand for smooth operation.

You will lead with professionalism, warmth, and a proactive attitude, coordinating with other departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising housekeeping in a hotel or luxury setting.
• COSHH, Manual Handling, and Fire Safety certifications required.
• First Aid at Work is a plus.
• Experience with hotel property management systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily tasks for Housekeeping Attendants.
• Conduct shift briefings highlighting priorities, VIPs, and updates.
• Maintain accurate room status in the PMS and coordinate with Guest Relations for timely releases.
• Support Executive Housekeeper with rota planning and attendance tracking.
• Lead the team in the Executive Housekeeper’s absence.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and barns to uphold Louma’s cleanliness standards.
• Oversee linen handling, laundry procedures, and stock control.
• Coordinate cleaning schedules for pools and wellness areas with Spa and Wellness Supervisors.
• Train staff on SOPs and maintain training records.
