Job summary

Champneys is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain luxury guest rooms and public areas to exacting Champneys standards in a tranquil, premium setting.

You will service bedrooms, prepare rooms for guests, and ensure discretion and cleanliness throughout shifts, with a focus on calm, comfort and guest privacy. The role includes health and safety responsibilities and training opportunities within a respected wellness brand.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and comfort
• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times
• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind
• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required
• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills
• Health, safety and professionalism:
• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times
• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance
• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct
• Working with discretion and confidentiality in all guest areas
