Job summary
The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy, seeks a proactive Shift Engineer to maintain guest spaces and back‑of‑house systems with precision.
You will work a rotating shift across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC disciplines, monitor life safety systems, keep detailed records, and collaborate with all departments to uphold the highest standards of service. Qualifications
- Hands-on maintenance experience in luxury hotel or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Experience with life safety and fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring guest comfort and operational continuity.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and plant systems.
- Work across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems with appropriate procedures.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to resolve engineering-related matters.
- Maintain records of maintenance tasks, faults and system performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and support sustainable operations.
- Uphold health and safety standards for guests and colleagues.
