The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy, seeks a proactive Shift Engineer to maintain guest spaces and back‑of‑house systems with precision.

You will work a rotating shift across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC disciplines, monitor life safety systems, keep detailed records, and collaborate with all departments to uphold the highest standards of service. Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in luxury hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience with life safety and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring guest comfort and operational continuity.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and plant systems.
• Work across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems with appropriate procedures.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to resolve engineering-related matters.
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks, faults and system performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and support sustainable operations.
• Uphold health and safety standards for guests and colleagues.

The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of the hotel, ensuring every space, from guest suites to back‑of‑house systems, operates with precision and reliability. This is a hands‑on, multi‑disciplined role that requires technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and a calm, solutions‑focused mindset.

Working across a rotating shift pattern, you will be a consistent and dependable presence within the hotel, responding to maintenance needs, supporting operational efficiency, and helping create an environment where guests and colleagues can experience the property at its very best. Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring guest comfort and operational continuity at all times.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and plant systems to maintain exceptional standards throughout the property.
