Job summary

Acomb Manor, part of St Mary's Care Homes, seeks a Kitchen Assistant to join the founding catering team in York. You will support meal prep, assist the Chef, and help maintain high kitchen standards in a luxury care home setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food preparation is desirable.
• Positive and hardworking attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support meal preparation by assisting the Chef with nutritious, fresh and appealing meals.
• Deliver excellent service by serving meals efficiently while respecting dietary needs.
• Keep standards high by maintaining exceptional cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Manage deliveries and stock by receiving deliveries, storing food correctly and rotating stock.
• Promote food safety by following food hygiene, HACCP, COSHH and health & safety rules.
• Work as one team by supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive home environment.
