Job summary

St. James's Hotel & Club in Mayfair is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead our breakfast service and contribute to the high standards of our kitchen.

You will join a professional hotel kitchen team and take pride in delivering a fantastic start to our guests’ day with well-presented, high-quality breakfast dishes. The role involves morning shifts, 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Experience in a hotel, restaurant or busy kitchen environment.
• Pride in preparing and presenting high-quality food.
• Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Understands food hygiene and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure smooth running of the breakfast service.
• Prepare and maintain hot and cold breakfast buffet items.
• Cook eggs and other breakfast dishes to order.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and replenished during service.
• Maintain food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards.
• Keep preparation areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Monitor food levels and minimise waste.
• Work with restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure guest service.
