Job summary

Stafffinders' Client, a prestigious 5-star luxury resort just outside Glasgow, is seeking a Breakfast Chef to craft exceptional breakfast dishes and lead high standards in a busy kitchen. You will work with the Breakfast Manager and senior teams, maintaining HACCP compliance, managing mise en place, and accommodating dietary requests to ensure Forbes Travel Guide quality every morning.

Previous luxury-hotel experience and strong presentation skills are valued; on-site role with competitive

Qualifications

• Experience in a four or five-star luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong culinary skills with breakfast service experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Advantageous: Forbes Travel Guide familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present breakfast dishes to high standards.
• Ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service.
• Communicate clearly between Kitchen and Front of House.
• Complete mise en place and prep ahead of service.
• Cater for dietary requirements and guest requests.

Responsibilities in your new role as Breakfast Chef

As Breakfast Chef, you will work closely with the Breakfast Manager, Food & Beverage and senior kitchen teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare, cook and present cooked-to-order and buffet breakfast dishes to consistently high standards
• Ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service
• Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and Front of House teams
• Complete daily mise en place and preparation ahead of service
• Cater for dietary requirements, allergies and special guest requests
• Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety, allergen and hygiene standards
• Manage stock, kitchen equipment and supplies efficiently
• Complete kitchen cleaning and close-down procedures to a high standard
• Support the Executive Chef’s vision and work towards Forbes Travel Guide standards
• Deliver an exceptional breakfast experience for every guest

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We're looking for an experienced Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or hospitality professional with strong culinary skills and a background in a quality hotel, restaurant or similar kitchen environment. Experience within a four or five-star luxury hotel or resort, a high-volume breakfast operation or knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide standards would be highly advantageous.

You'll have a strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergen management and kitchen hygiene, alongside excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation. Reliable, organised and positive, you'll be a strong team player who can remain calm and focused during busy breakfast service while continually looking for opportunities to develop your skills.
