Job summary

CHANEL in Manchester seeks an Assistant Manager to support sales, operations, asset protection and HR in delivering an exceptional customer experience and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, fashion knowledge and a customer-centric mindset; you will recruit, train and coach the store team while driving performance and client relations in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated boutique management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with commercial acumen.
• Experience supporting VIP client events is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service mindset, initiative and fashion sensitivity.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends and market context.
• Interest in culture and the arts.

Responsibilities

• Develop Team Managers to ensure Chanel experience for every Client; coach and mentor staff.
• Identify, recruit and develop talents; work with HR and Boutique Director on succession plans.
• Delegate responsibilities to the team according to business needs.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable individual targets and plans.
• Set challenging store targets and monitor performance to achieve them.
• Collaborate with the Boutique Director to motivate the team and drive business.
• Lead recruitment, training, evaluation and staff development; share best practices.
• Be the voice of the Boutique Director and HQ in communicating vision and initiatives.
• Build a customer-centric mindset, partner with CRM to leverage clientelling tools, and maximise product category potential.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and health & safety standards are implemented and reviewed for continuous improvement.
• Monitor headcount and support monthly headcount review; manage loss prevention and stock control.
