Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Band 6 in Bath. This role focuses on delivering expert clinical care, education, and holistic support for patients diagnosed with lung cancer, coordinating care across diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship or palliative stages.

You will work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access to services and a high standard of person-centred care, supporting patients and families

Qualifications

Current NMC registration.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Diploma/Degree in relevant area or evidence of study to that level.
Post registration training preferably in cancer/palliative care.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, personalised care through holistic assessment and care planning.
Support patients who are vulnerable to ensure a smooth journey through the lung cancer pathway.
Provide clinical care and psychological support for patients with complex needs.
Offer holistic, person-centred care across all cancer pathway stages.
Give specialised advice to patients and carers regarding diagnosis and treatment.
