Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse (Band 6) for 30 hours per week in Gloucester. You will be a core member of the multidisciplinary team delivering specialist supportive care across the lung cancer pathway.

The role focuses on developing clinical and professional practice, leading nurse-led clinics, and contributing to personalised cancer care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is essential.
• Evidence of CPD in palliative and/or cancer care is required.
• Advanced communication skills are essential.
• Significant experience at Band 5 or Band 6 is preferred.
• Non medical prescribing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, support and leadership within clinical teams.
• Deliver against departmental and service objectives and manage workload.
• Attend meetings and ensure outcomes are communicated to patients and clinicians.
• Develop risk stratified pathways and nurse-led clinics.
• Coordinate patient care across the pathway from diagnosis to end of life and liaise with services.
